My work on the St. Petersburg Stock and Commodity Exchange, and the history of the St.Petersburg Exchange on Basil Island.

You can look at SketchUp model of The Old Saint Petersburg  Exchange  by following  this link:
While working at the  Siberian Trade Bank  at Nevsky Prospekt, 44 I have often had to visit the St. Petersburg;s Stock and Commodity Exchange.

The building of Old Saint Petersburg  Exchange is located in the  Vasilyevsky (Basil) Island. This  is a significant example of the Greek Revival architecture. This building was designed by the famous French architect Thomas de Thomon and inspired by the Greek Temple of Hera at Paestum. This building of St. Petersburg  Exchange was constructed between 1805 and 1810.
The Exchange was designed for business transactions with merchants arriving in St. Petersburg  from all over the Would.
